First selfie south side. Not at all settled but trying my best. Have been sick for a week or more, lots to do to find our place here and feel secure but I’m trying my best each day. Large south Asian community in this area means beautiful scarves everywhere and it’s so cold I need them…

It has been hard to think or do anything as we wait for the day, so I’ve been keeping my hands busy at least, with knit and crochet, freestyling a sleeve now that I hope will connect to something one day… 🧶

This is the original, one cold winter when all the kids were close and not so traumatized they couldn’t go outside. We had no car, not even a stroller so I’d strap the babies, one on front, one on back and we’d take walking adventures to various parks but mostly this one.

Nostalgia in Eugene - felt an immediate longing to stay in Eugene, stopping at the old park where we spent so many hours of play - couldn’t recreate the old dinosaur pictures, sadly or correctly I’m not sure. Perhaps one day we will come back but I doubt it…

Thinking of this for a quick wedding shawl - but with a red ribbon. Best I could find for cape-shawls in worsted weight for a fall wedding. What do you think? Do you know a good pattern for knitting or crochet that is light and could be made in worsted merino? 🧶
