It was her idea to buy the car wash and she was the book keeper who helped launder money through it. Also, her boss had already committed fraud, she gave him the money to cover his losses because if he got audited, so would she.

She helped him so she wouldn't go to jail. Also, the money was to help so that everyone at the company kept their jobs until Ted got greedy and tried to keep it for himself. She was also okay with Walter doing it for a short term until he got greedy and didn't want to stop

I mean idk.. refusing to do dirt with her husband but inserted herself into fraud with her boss. Kinda raises the question once more you don’t think?

My only thing with that is she helped Ted Beneke by giving him dirty money so that she wouldn’t be investigated by the IRS for having those bad books and lying to the IRS auditor. Atleast help the husband rather than the man she had ex relations with.
