Finally! Was hoping to avoid Limited Run Games if possible, because of high shipping prices to Switzerland.

The issue happens on VRR-enabled titles, especially those with an unlocked framerate or games fluctuating a lot. The VRR bug causes a millisecond lag or flicker every 8 seconds. It can appear anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes of gameplay—sometimes it’s fine at first, then appears randomly.

The same problem occurred on both, and Sony OLED users also reported similar issues. Samsung users appear unaffected. I still believe Sony changed something within the PS5 system that’s causing these VRR millisecond lags on some games.

I received many replies from other users facing the same or similar issues. LG users believed the VRR problems were tied to the last 2 firmware updates, but after testing, we found that’s not the case. I tested on my LG C1 (latest firmware) and my friend’s LG G2 (July 2024 firmware).

❗️IMPORTANT❗️

If you experience the same or similar issues, please take the time and report it to Sony, LG (or your TV manufacturer) and the game developers.

If we want to get this fixed, the only way to do so is to spread awareness and report the issue.

The video which does highlight the VRR issues. It's not just in The Last of Us Part 1, other games like Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo 4 (on Pro), Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and KCD2 have the same ongoing issue.

You are right. When the time comes, when physical media is no more, the PC will be the best place to preserve games. GOG.com as an example, will become a valuable source. Burn your games / cartridge whatever, print a nice label and put them in a case for your shelf.

I wish there's a law against these practices. A singleplayer game that has a campaign should ALWAYS be possible to play offline without any sort of internet connection.

Tekken 3 is probably one of the greatest fighting game ever released, to this day. I'll die on that hill 🫡

You already do a lot for us 👍🏻 we are glad for your continued support for the Tomb Raider franchise.

I'm gladly buying the 10€ upgrade, because I had a good time playing this game when it came out, and I like having support for 120hz and VRR. But I really hope that you guys consider a physical release down the road. I'd double dip without hesitation.

I felt the same way when you followed me back on X 💪🏻

Sometimes, I feel like people forgot to be excited for new IPs and only hope for the biggest hitters to be revealed or for the nostalgia stuff to get a reboot or remaster.

Meanwhile, there was a lot of new cool stuff shown at the State of Play.

PSVR2 support was very minimal, though.

My favorite collection on the Vita is Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Before the Switch version came out, this was the way to go for portability.
