In New York City and in Puerto Rico the cats are part of the community. Without cats the damage to farm equipment is in the thousands. Little dogs also earn their keep.

She ingests wild creatures so, yes I have to do this every now and then. 🤮 Typically it’s not a problem. Treatments are EXTREMELY challenging as she doesn’t like to be touched on someone else’s terms. I have to use two people and wear leather. It’s a whole trip. I do it on an as needed basis.

If I could force her to stay in the yard like the other cat I would but some cats will not be contained. It’s extremely rare for her to stay out all night. I hope this will contribute to longevity. I’m terrified of her going missing. I hope that she will stay closer as she gets older.

I have two cats and both use the dog door. Once easily climbs the fence and the other is helpless. I hate that one of my cats can escape so easily. However we are far from people and cars. Simply put she is her own boss and I can’t catch her. She is as wild as a loon. Brings me many rats.

In this case I see there is only one option. All you can do is make sure the other cats don’t make fun of your kitty!
