The hip, hip-a-hop and you don't stop rockin'
To the bang, bang the boogie, say up jump the boogie
To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat

I’m Called The Library To Ask Questions Years Old and am *delighted* by this video from the LA Public Library. Yes, you can ask the library for answers to burning questions. And, yes, if you want, they will even show you how to find the answers yourself!

Early voting fit. As @davekronig.bsky.social says, masking is hot. Join the hot girlies and wear a mask while you show up for your community. XOXO

Anecdotal experience is not sufficient to prove a point, especially when you’re proving a negative.

Out of curiosity, how are these folks faring? Because I lost my career in my prime due to post-COVID disability. Wearing a mask in public is preferable to that “nothing bad”

Fuck you, LAX. No one scavenges because it’s fun.

Gotta love how there’s money for stickers but not money to feed and house people.

And here I was holding out for a hero. We really did get the hero we deserve but not the one we need right now.

I wish white people, especially white women, would understand that people disagreeing with you isn’t victimization. Also, when experts have ethical qualms about your practices/beliefs it’s an opportunity to reflect, not get defensive. The sooner y’all realize that, the better off everyone will be

Explaining to my twenty-something kid brother that he should invest in some decent orthotics and an at-home Pilates routine now before his body turns into a jalopy at thirty and a Flintstones car at forty.

There’s one openly MAGA neighbor on my street. This morning, when I ran into him walking his dog, he asked if I’d finally be taking “that flag” down.

I can’t wait to see his face after I install the second flag pole.

Right-wing visions of a leftist paradise are always so much more creative and, frankly, *interesting* than what leftists pitch.

BREAKING: Carter J. Burke of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation endorses Andrew Cuomo for Mayor. When asked to comment, Carter said, “This is a multi-million dollar installation, okay? The WFP slate can’t make these kinds of decisions, they’re just grunts.”

He also said “she wears belt bags on her waist like they did in the olden times” and, after determining he meant fanny-packs, well, here’s today’s sweat my ass off outfit. It’s not my fault the patriarchy still doesn’t want us to have pockets.

(Matching face mask because pollen is the enemy.)

Virginia, you have an election today! Please protect your poll workers, your neighbors, and yourselves by wearing a mask—ideally a KF94, KN95, or N95.

Here’s my fit, some matchy-matchy #indoorflAIRquality because I like to make my masks part of my look. I can’t wait to add my “I voted” sticker!

If it was unthinkable to celebrate July 4th with a military parade, it should be doubly unthinkable to mark the president’s birthday in such a fashion. We don’t have kings in America—that’s kind of our whole thing. Equality may have been a false promise, but ‘sic semper tyrannis’ was not.

When I was a kid, the proud child of immigrants who fled a despot to chase the American dream, before I learned the American history that had been suppressed, I loved this quotation about the Fourth of July.

I hope the people this quotation might still have been true for in 2024 are awake now.

UNCLE!

I give up on DIY dating. I give up. I am ready for the matchmakers and the aunties. I accept your wisdom and ministrations.

We’re supposed to believe that the center-left/left are the genital-obsessed weirdos and not the group with a prurient current in their sewer system of a movement, which has given us “daddy’s back in charge,” “spanking” the opposition, “Big Balls,” and a worldview sounding in sex-based domination?
