I do kind of love that he loves being ‘on’ so much. I hope all of this gets preserved for future generations to watch how we, as a country, got ourselves into and then out of this situation. It didn’t start with him, and it prob won’t end with him either.

100% and it was setup to do exactly that - literally to help southern states have a more equal footing in the union because they had more slaves than white men (for voting / tax purposes). The 3/5 rule (so fckn gross) + the EC are forever intertwined and it should not be forgotten.

I mean but we’re talking about two of the most imperialistic countries - couldn’t there also be a correlation to how much dark money is in the election system in general?
I’m not saying it’s the only thing we need to, we need to do so much more too, but it seems the most equitable way to me.

Is it that true? Maybe that is true here in the US but from what I’ve seen - following this for over a decade since it first was talked about in NYC - that isn’t the case in places where rank voting has been established - yes there are ‘main parties’ - hold overs - but there are mad other candidates

I think they use ‘playing nice’ as an excuse bc they’re in the pockets of billionaires too.
They also just lie to get elected, knowing the electorate won’t fckn remember what they did 2-4 years prior. (Which happens all the gd time).

Actually we just ANY party to fight back against the forces that have rigged the system and made our lives more difficult.
It doesn’t have to be the Dem Party, and after Sunday night, I doubt any of us believe it will be.
And of course this is the exact reason why we’re still a duopoly.

Rank voting would help build a coalition around a new party. Perhaps even more than one.
Not disagreeing about taking over the Dem party, but I’d rather see real reforms to our entire system, than this continued pageantry of band-aids.

Really wondering about the correlation between being a rich kid in high school who gets into a good college (bc your parents paid for it, which often leads to a high paying job, all while binge drinking.
Most of the poor kids I know didn’t have time to binge drink all thru college - we had to work.
