0-60~ pull.
It's quick!
Not life threatening, but it gets out of its own way.

Test drive and finishing touches!
After hooking everything up, doing some wiring, and stopping the leaks here and there...
and it cranked, fired, and idled as soon as fuel got to the carb!
It barks off as soon as you touch the key... And it's a little spicy to drive!

Setting the Powepack
Getting the engine I was a mess like murder on the floor.
ATF out of the tail shaft, water out of the manifold studs holes (they go into the water jacket for some reason), and of course a touch of oil.
The motor mounts and trans mounts all MOSTLY lined up.

Bolting on speed parts (The FUN part)
Edelbrock air gap intake, edelbrock 1603 carb, valve covers, kickdown linkage, pulleys, mini hi torque starter, election Ignition system
I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but it's a healthy pile of "go fast"

Fitment and extra prep
New intake manifold didn't work, because it's a cheap knockoff and the bolt pattern just doesn't line up
the headers I want to use, I needed to pull the exhaust manifold studs (4x) all but one came off with the "double nut" technique
The last one I used vice grips.

But it was still to far forward for me to get to the drain plug, and I couldn't get it to slide back by pulling on it with my scrawny ass body weight.
Solution?
Floor jack turned sideways jammed into the spars of the pallet pushing on the crank snout.
It worked!

I needed to drain the oil and do a diesel flush because that's the safe and smart thing to do... Except that the oil drain plug is directly on the pallet.
Didn't have a hoist, figured the easiest option was to pivot the engine around by the transmission tail shaft.
It took me hours alone.

Teardown and cleaning.
This took the most amount of time just because I was trying to be as careful as possible not to get any metal shavings or FOD into the lifter valley because I wasn't planning on pulling the pan.

Whoever pulled this engine, whenever they did it, the madman dumped a bunch of oil down the carb before they stored it.
Cylinders 6 & 5 were full to the brim.
ALL of the cylinders are totally rust free.
All the cylinders are making 155psi on a trusted compression gauge.
