What a horrible move for Ali and the Whitecaps… hope this doesn’t sink Ali’s World Cup chances.

The caps have thrown this game away.

Have the Caps heard of the corners of the net? Every shot straight into the chest so far…

Sorensen. I think we are seeing why he was let go at his old job. The Champions cup final, this game, losing out on first in the west. He can coach, just not in big games…

He got the ball!!!

To be honest. Muller has been horrible in the second half…

Panama qualified, they have beaten them as well. However take the Copa America for example, in retrospect it appears much less impressive. They played the bottom 3 teams in Conmebol and came out with 1 win and 2 draws (a win on penalties in 1 of the draws), red cards for their opponents as well.

Canada have drawn many World Cup teams. Everyone is talking about how their style suits tough knockout games. But draws in the group stage will eliminate Canada before they even get to the knockouts. I am more concerned about the group stage than knock out games.

For all the talk about Canada being good and playing better teams, they have not beaten a single team which has qualified for the World Cup other than USA in the Nations League third place game since the 2023 Gold Cup. That includes some lower ranked teams. Is that a concern?

This aged well

Should Canada Soccer threaten to sue Celtic?

Can’t wait to watch the Dallas players crying after two more games…

No attempt to play the ball. Didn’t even stick out a leg. Just intentionally pushes through the back. Red card all day.

Marsch need to learn how to coach these games. Canada is sooo bad playing against a low block. This Aussie team had 0 talent out there but Marsch has no plan.

And then a yellow for a ghost tackle… horrible officiating as usual.

If only the had the players available to yank Priso and Johnson as well. Priso has been a give away machine.

Probably, and to be fair, they have looked good in the cup and handled Ottawa really well.
September 19, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Ya, It’s probably too early to talk about that, but certainly It’s got to be a concern. Vancouver has averaged 2.26 goals against in the CPL this year and has never faced an MLS team before. The Whitecaps put 4 past Forge with a rotated team and 7 past the best defence in the MLS the game before.
September 19, 2025 at 5:37 PM
With a grand total of 3 wins all season I don’t think Vancouver has ever had shortage of bulletin board material… they have had to expand the bulletin board every season.
September 19, 2025 at 5:20 PM
And building on that, could this become the largest score difference in a cup final ever in North America? There was a 7-0 in the 1927 US Open cup final.
September 19, 2025 at 5:12 AM
Genuine question, is this the biggest underdog in a cup final in “recent” North American history? From my review of the 2000s it seems to be the biggest mismatch.
September 19, 2025 at 5:09 AM
There’s some interesting stats with this one. The Whitecaps have more wins this season than Vancouver FC have all time.
September 19, 2025 at 3:11 AM
If they beat Philli 7-0 and Forge 4-0, what they heck will they do to Vancouver? Will this be the most lop sided Cup final of all time?
