Early 30s with nothing better to do.
Lmao, whatever you say.
Only been working with railroads on and off the last decade.

Nothing, Its been implied that Rocky is coming back from out west by rail. He mentioned it in the comics in letters to freckle. If anything he is probably on a Katy or MoPac freight train.

As someone who works around live steam, Ill say for an indie animation studio operating on a tight budget and tight schedule with no prior experience animating heavy machinery like rail equipment; they did just fine. I take it for what it is, and if it looks bad in the show, then ill be critical.

Not in 1927.
UP wouldn't buy the lines that went onto Louisiana untill the 1980s at the earliest.
Of the railroads we might see could be the Wabash, Katy, Frisco, Illinois Central, NYC, Pennsy, and the C&A to name the major STL lines at the time.

They did the best they could with the time restraints. As far as I know I recall Newt going to the museum of transportation in St Louis to take tons of reference photos of their Wabash steam locomotive.
I have an optimistic view on how it'll look from here on.

Like the worst thing the people I'm thinking of have to deal with is the -idea- of inconvenience rather than any actual real problems.
Meanwhile you hit the nail on the head by pointing out that there are far more pressing issues than the "inconvenience" of living through historical events.

Downplaying anyone's struggles wasn't the intended point of my post, so I apologize if it came across like that. It was aimed more at the people who complain about these events from the comfort of their stable lives and really dont face any hardships on the horizon.

Lmao, I'm definitely thinking of the Peoria and Eastern. I didn't notice your road had the same initials untill after I made the comment.
I'm from IL and have explored the old Big Four route many times, so I'm familiar with it lol.
Definitely a PC fan tho.

Any day is a good day when I'm reminded of Talking Heads, David Byrne and the live version of this song from Stop Making Sense.
