Finally read SpyxFamily. Pretty great. The character dynamics and chapter-to-chapter shifts in tone are well handled. I find that its comedy, action, and character work are all balanced nicely and a good bit of characters outside the main group are developed well. Good series.

Latest One Piece chapter 1138 was excellent. These are the kind of chapters that bring out the best in the fandom. So much to dissect in one beautiful double page spread.

Red Photon Zillion is so much fun. I love how quickly the main trio hit it off; their dynamics feel so natural. I love that they mess around with each other a lot, but they still take their job seriously and are good at it. I feel that this consistency in tone is tricky to get right. Fun show.

Enjoyed Armored Trooper VOTOMS more than I expected. The introspective narration at the end of each episode is nice; it gives a bit more life to the introverted mc. I especially like the "traumatized warrior reclaiming the warmth of companionship" aspect of the early episodes.

My current top 3 Gundam series out of what I've seen

1. 0079 (gives me everything I want in a show like this)
2. After War Gundam X (just a solid show with a decent cast)
3. Victory Gundam (first 20-ish episodes and episode 49)

Watched Dr. No. My first watch of anything 007 outside of the initial 3 Craig films. Sean Connery's Bond is so cool. He carries himself with such visceral confidence. Dr. No was pretty cool, and I liked his confrontation with Bond; though his defeat could've been better. Climax was a bit flat but eh

Mashiba is a great character. Morikawa usually blends excellent fight choreography with strong character work; and I think Mashiba is one of his greatest successes in this regard. Wonderfully written character and I think no matter how this fight ends, it will be a good conclusion for him.

Watched Star Driver. Enjoyed it more than I expected. It's like if Revolutionary Girl Utena had a baby with Tenchi Muyo War on Geminar. Pretty awesome action and surprisingly fun character dynamics.

Final Fantasy 6 is one of my favorite games. A low level playthrough had always interested me; though I didn't try it until the Pixel Remaster. The run had been going smoothly, until I got to the gauntlet before the Floating Continent. Probably the most luck driven challenge I've ever undertaken.

Kingdom has been my favorite manga for close to a decade. What I love about it is its ability to engage you no matter what aspect of the series -martial or political- is the current focus. Whether it's a clash of political wills or the climax to an arduous battle, it's always exciting.

I love Mobile Suit Gundam.
