I must've spent a good two hours looking in my tiny hand mirror, tweaking the features on the face to try and make it look more like me, and I don't really know if I succeeded in the end, but I never made a good self portrait before, so why would I expect to now?

got a new sketchbook a few days ago, but literally the first piece I tried to render, I spent hours on the sketch & moved on to the inking stage, only for my cat to walk all over the page & smudge it to an immediately unsaveable state... haven't drawn since.

i'm just not supposed to have any semblance of a support system or anyone who cares abt me outside of my partner, i guess.

also i wrote quite a bit of it sleep deprived and at least for right now i dont hate it although even if i do i end up hating it, that isnt necessarily indicative of its quality. i judge my magnum opuses with the same level of mean girl cuntiness as i do my trash work.

also i have cats, so red string boards are prolly outta the question, lest i want my insane UT/DR ramblings to get torn apart

it would just b really nice 2 finally know what the fuck is going on w him cuz regardless of how much i love the skelebros, i have WASTED, THOUSANDS of hours scratching my brain & pulling my hair out over these pixels. only thing stopping me from red string boards is a lack of craft stores near me.

which, i mean, we dont HAVE 2 ever have the full puzzle. a bunch of people have been characterizing him with a knockoff picture that's so far detached from how he actually is in canon, & yet we've all been enjoying sans UT for almost 10 years full of confusion & mischaracterization, anyways.

it's entirely possible i'm thinking abt this sans shaped rabbit hole 2 deeply, or even that these discrepancies are caused by plot holes (even the best of writers fall victim to these), & depending on if there are plot holes & how many, we sadly may never truly be able 2 fully figure out sans utdr.

or C) tricky tony is just draggin it out to fuck w us cuz he finds it funny.

& i have seen some people suggesting pap might also b off @ college, like azzy, & i suppose he could be, but then why would sans have asked us 2 hang out w papyrus tomorrow @ the end of chapter 1??? wouldnt he not be home?

B) there's some element of papyrus, maybe his design, perhaps something else, that would immediately & FINALLY tell us everything there is going on w sans, & toby isn't ready for the reveal yet bcuz he's been working up to this for over a decade now (counting developer time, not just release time).

or maybe three explanations i can think of, although i'm not concretely sure about -- well, any of them, really -- but

either A) papyrus is NOWHERE near as outgoing in DR as he was in UT, maybe to mirror how MTT also seems a lot less confident in DR? either way, socially awkward shut in DR papyrus.
