My journey with Tim taught me a great deal about how we view and manage death societally. It’s clinical, frightening, and even when you’re surrounded by loved ones, it’s lonely. I hope to change that!

A few months into our bond, Tim learned that the prostate cancer that he had beaten previously was back and spreading. He got into a cancer trial and things were looking optimistic! Three years later he posed away in my arms in the presence of our friends and chosen family.

The importance of screening can't be amplified enough. Just over a year ago, my partner in crime passed away in my arms from a disease that's curable if you catch it in time. I still feel the void in my heart. I still can't believe he's not here.
