Yes! I've had so many other things I've run peter out after much less time off whereas this one after I couldn't run anything for 6 months for health reasons it was like "cool what's the new mission we're ready"

I've been running a star wars campaign whereby the players are a squad of clones which lends itself to this and I think if it wasn't so episodic/arc based it wouldn't have survived the couple of lengthy hiatuses it's had to go through

I'm unreasonably excited for this, I hope it's good

I wonder if the play is to turn these ideas around, especially if for like con one shots where prebuilt chars/backstories are a thing? I.e. yes, a mystery datacard! Player 3 found one and that's what led them to the heist! Or is what player 2 found that's why they know what the treasure secretly is?

I really like the FTL: Faster than Light sound track (and for calm specifically the tracks labelled explore as opposed to battle)

Reminding myself to dip back in here to say that the destiny point system is one of my favourite TTRPG mechanics once plays get into the "fuck it this is star wars" mindset

Yeah I will say having it be the very first TTRPG I ever played and doing so from the GM seat with players who had also never played a TTRPG at 15 was certainly one of my wilder decisions but it mostly worked?

I really enjoy the vibes the dice bring but they definitely can slow down the first couple of sessions in person as you're learning the symbols/skills and having to do all of the cancelling yourself

I'll be curious to hear your thoughts if you do so! It's probably my most played (run) system but there are bits of it I've never fully captured/fallen in love with it
