I’m not especially mad at the voice actors who took that deal since times are rough and people need to get paid, but the underlying tech still needs the theft of so many other VAs’ work to be able to work before it can be trained on specific, paid for voices.

100%! I do wonder why Arc Raiders is receiving minimal pushback for the AI voice work tho? Lost my job as a concept artist in part due to AI so I appreciate everyone seeing how shitty what CoD is doing is, but AR seems to be getting a pass because it’s a good game, and that blows
