“President Trump and his Pardon Attorney Ed Martin are making a mockery out of the pardon power.”

Liz broke all of this down with @borissanchezcnn.bsky.social on @cnn.com
May 30, 2025 at 7:16 PM
There are no more rules and norms that typically apply to pardons under the Trump administration.

Liz joined @msnbc.com Katy Tur Reports to shed light on this total breakdown of the normal pardon process.

Liz stopped over at @pbsnews.org to dive into the two tiers of justice under Trump: one for the wealthy and one for ordinary Americans.
May 30, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Liz joined @jenpsaki.msnbc.com on @briefingwithpsaki.bsky.social ‬to spotlight the fundamental break we are seeing between how pardons normally work vs. what we are seeing in Trump’s DOJ.

The Trump admin can try as hard as they want to make an example of Liz Oyer, but she will always stand up to bullies.

This is not how we treat our civil servants in our United States. Thank you @insidewithpsaki.msnbc.com for giving a platform for Liz to tell her story.

“If you really want efficiency, talk to the employees that do this work everyday.”

Thank you Deadline White House and @nicollewallace.bsky.social for having AFGE President Kelley join the show to lift up the everyday workers of AFGE.

It’s an everyday battle to combat misinformation – but we do it because the health of America depends on it. Proud to fight for access to health care + trust and accurate public health info from our govt officials w/ @protecthealthcare.medsky.social and @drrobdavidson.bsky.social

Removing functions and the people who do those functions stops workers in the Education Department like Brittany from helping the students who need it most. Thank you to Ana Cabrera for amplifying the harmful cost of cutting the jobs of vital services and workers.

ICYMI: Last week, Rachel Maddow highlighted the chaos and unprofessionalism from the Admin that Dept of Ed workers are experiencing.

“The president can’t just lay people off because he does not agree with them or he does not like the color of their skin or their gender.”

Through all of this, we must remember the over 6,000 regular citizens who have applied for clemency and don’t have access to the White House through the front door. That is the actual work of the Pardon Attorney – not political favors returning gun rights to celebrities.

Thank you @allinwithchris.bsky.social for having Liz Oyer share how she faced the decision to lose her job or become another Trump ‘yes’ man.

“The attorneys stated that Mr. Gibson is a high profile actor who’s made lots of famous movies and that he has a relationship with the president.”
March 17, 2025 at 3:12 PM
“Find a way to ‘yes’ because the only way you will survive here is find a way to say yes.”

Liz Oyer spoke with Tom Llamas on the advice she received right up until her firing: find a way to say yes or face the consequences of dissent in the Trump administration.

“Donald Trump will fire his way through the Justice Department to find somebody to give you back your guns despite our domestic violence conviction if you are a Donald Trump supporter.”

Rachel Maddow tells it exactly like it is.

We are proud to lift up Liz Oyer, former DOJ Pardon Attorney, who was fired by political loyalists – after refusing to recommend restoring gun rights to an unvetted celebrity – and is sounding the alarm for Americans.

Hear Liz’s story from inside the DOJ with Kaitlin Collins.

“Think about a country whose president basically says as their first acts: I’m getting rid of education. What does that say about our future?”

@aftunion.bsky.social President Randi Weingarten laid out the symbolic and real danger of getting rid of the Department of Education on Katie Phang.
March 12, 2025 at 8:15 PM
