ok and they can have all that in their fic and still tag. most ppl aren’t reading fics just for the dynamic, they just want to be informed of what the fic will include to see if it fits their preferences

im just for using the tagging system properly, thats it 😭 its not abt being pandered to, its literally just abt using it to inform ppl of whats in the fic and for filtering. its not tumblr tags, its not a dni list.

it’s literally just so they can choose if they want to read the fic based on their preference. ur "warning" doesn’t state what’s in the fic, it just tells the reader that the author thinks they’re better than other ppl for being above t/b preferences .

or u can just tag it properly. if i tag my fic w some vague, quirky warning like "not for those who don’t like kinks sowwy >_<", it doesn’t tell the reader what kink is in the fic, therefore the person can’t choose knowingly. no one is traumatized by a character potentially bottoming

the tagging system isn’t for those kinds of "warnings" or dni. i can’t choose if it’s not properly tagged w who bottoms 😭 it’s not entitled to expect proper tagging, its literally the point of ao3. it’s not tumblr.

or u can just use the tagging system properly so ppl can also use the "exclude" filter properly. if someone only excludes bottom geto for example and ur untagged fic has bottom geto in it then it will still show up for them but untagged…

yeah but that’s not how the tagging system works. its not there to put quirky jokes, this isn’t tumblr. its literally just there to state what’s in the fic and so ppl can filter properly.

yes and that’s exactly WHY ppl want the fix to be properly tagged w who tops, bottoms or if its switch 😭 so they can filter it and don’t need to open fics that don’t fit their preference

bc it’s clearly stated in the tags so if they clicked on it despite not liking this characterization, then it’s 100% their fault. however, when it’s not tagged, ppl can’t make that decision by themselves bc they don’t know that information. u can’t get mad at ppl for clicking a fic w something

also i’m sry but how r ppl who care abt who fucks who the "wrong audience" ? 😭 sometimes u want to read abt one of the characters bottoming and not the other and that’s completely fine. its a preference and there’s nothing wrong w that.

yeah but tagging properly is good fandom etiquette. if u can tag everything else in ur fic, u can tag that. ppl wanting proper tagging IS so they can open the link knowingly 😭 u cant open it knowingly if its not properly tagged
