I have lived here for over 40 years and am still considered a "carpetbagger" and have been called such, but Brandon Gill is given full-throated support by Republicans. I'm sure us carpetbaggers that have been here for decades have done more for the Texas economy than Brandon Gill has or ever will.

I guess when your daddy-in-law is Dinesh D'Souza you can rest secure in the knowledge that you have plenty of support, corrupt though it may be. Generally, Texans don't like what they call "carpetbaggers," but given the enthusiasm I saw for Brandon Gill, they were willing to make an exception.

He and so many others have the blood of this child on their hands. Disinformation can kill and this time it has. My heart breaks for that poor child who suffered greatly and then died. Shame on everyone responsible! This didn't have to happen. I'm so angry on behalf of the child/victim.

We have these measles outbreaks because vaccine conspiracy theorists like RFK, Jr., have spread outright lies about vaccines! What was once a disease on its way out is now rearing it's ugly head again because ignorant parents aren't immunizing their children.
