Yarn is much stronger than people understand. I will say that washing with a strong or too much soap will strip dye off no matter what. Especially if it’s a fluorescent. PH levels can strip dye too. In other words it’s not always the dyer’s fault

It seems that so many people believe the term blocking implies pinning and stretching. I was one of those people until I started taking classes with a very knowledgeable teacher😎

And put strain on the fibres. Here’s another example of a term that is problematic in the yarn world. Blocking is JUST WASHING. Don’t get me started with people not washing their fo’s
