Have you looked into corporate sponsorship? Is that crazy? Having backup that has people on staff who have event organization skills and connections and who are getting paid would be ideal... (Maybe this isn't helpful as I have not been following but I just hate watching good people burn out... )

Except if something goes wrong or there are any repercussions, guess who would be legally liable...

@todmaffin.com would it be possible to partner with an existing event organizer who already has insurance? Let's say, for example, one of our amazing farmer's markets?
