You explained why you think it’s a bad thing and I gave you opposing reasoning. I think you’re looking for something that isn’t there just to project anger on. There is so much to be angry about right now and your anger could be useful elsewhere.

Why does no one get the joke? They’ve always been rushed for time. This is the heightened version of it. The kids aren’t getting less money. In fact, they’re getting MORE money because of this bit. Focus your anger on issues that matter.

It’s a joke. They’re not actually taking money away. Going over your time has been an “issue” at awards ceremonies for years. This is a funny bit to regulate the time beyond playing music. They’ll donate AND they’ve been saying the name of the charity over and over!
