My partner managed to recover my old #VintageStory save from a few years ago that I thought I'd never see again, and it is so incredibly charming to to get to see all our old constructions. Looking forward to playing it some more. Cheeses, we're making cheeses! :D

If you wonder why I repost birds here so often, first: obviously I adore them on their own merits. But man do I get homesick for them too, I miss Australian birdlife so much. Y'all don't know what you're missing out on having these beautiful, cheeky things on your balcony every day.

Our local fire brigade is having its 100th anniversary and there's a big parade and a well known band, and it is *pouring* rain T.T There are going to be more downpours soon. At least there's no chance of a fire while all the crews are out :')

Before I left, I met another birdwatcher couple and they showed me their Canon R3. What an incredible piece of technology it is. Compare and contrast this €8.5k device with my 80eur Biltema telescope. 😁 But! My dirt cheap setup works, I'm so delighted.

Wild* camping tonight in a deep valley, at Galdane along the Filefjell Kingsroad. This was historically *the* overland route linking east and west Norway.
*as you can see, wild means a rest stop by the road. But it's absolutely beautiful

I've been to a lot of incredible places in 29 years, but this has to be the most beautiful view I have ever seen. Røldalsfjellet, #Norway, with the Folgefonna glaciers in the distance to the north.

There's a lot wrong with the world right now but a couple of black redstarts have been nesting on our balcony and they're the dearest little things in the world.
