It’s worth applying still. Savings are assessed as means on a percentage basis. They don’t just automatically turn you down if you have large savings.

John, they turn everyone down the first time they apply. You need to appeal. Also, you need to list absolutely everything you do for your loved one, not just the more obvious stuff - include trips to chemist, calls to doctors, time spent on emotional support, outings etc. Everything.

… up the next day and the ground was covered in white - a totally unexpected snowfall. The radio announced that all city schools were to remain closed that day. It was a late Christmas miracle.

So I got to stay home all day ...

That same day, my aunt had given me my very own box of Cadbury's Roses as a late Christmas present. This was a very rare treat. So I upgraded my prayer and said "Please God, if you make it snow and make the schools close, I'll give this box of Roses to charity". Well, no word of a lie, I woke (2/3)

Rosie is the gentlest little girl. Rex is lovely too but he can be a bit loud and awkward. lol. My son refers to them as Rocky and Adrian!

There’s a Chrome extension called ‘Sky Follower Bridge’. Once you install it (on a laptop/desktop) it finds people you follow on twitter who have an account here and then you can ‘follow all’ or choose from the list who to follow here. It takes a few hours so best to set it to work overnight.

That looks so lovely. Although I’m not at all religious, I do love churches - they’re a wonderful venue for community music events.

My flatmate Joy loves New Order too. We have separate CD collections on our shelves. You should see the Joy Division.

I remember that. It was the posh man’s Hai Karate. And by “posh” I mean, guys who weren’t on the dole.

I’m looking forward to this. It sounds very interesting. I’m slightly obsessing about the cover typography - breaking up a word in a title (“judgement”) is so rare and kinda maddening - haha - but it’s a brave move. I’m guessing it’s deliberate? “Judge” and “ment” i.e. judging ment-al illness?
