I've been deep into the #rpgmaker code side for a couple weeks. But now trying to build a city map... THAT is difficult.

I've seen a few beautiful maps, with just stock tiles, and am confounded at how they did that.

I'm going to create a 3rd party verification service.

Basically, I make sure you're a real human, and you get custom subdomain. Sort of like 'bsky.social', but more than just email confirmation.

I've made good progress (in Laravel, natch). The AT Protocol is pretty cool.

There's also an increase in "we need a liberal version of Joe Rogan" talk. Which never works. In the 2000s there were calls for a libertarian Limbaugh, 2010s a liberal Fox News. Like a political Groundhog Day.

There must be a bug in the Laravel 11/Reverb/Echo/Herd chain somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it.

Watching Laracasts and some other videos, and they make it seem so simple.

I ended up trying Pusher, and immediately worked. 🤷
