If this is accurate, northern Yemenis have just lost (or had disabled) one of their only aid and food access points. It took years to repair Hudaydah port after the Saudis bombed it. Both the Houthis and the IDF are, as usual, ensuring civilians take the brunt of the damage.

I've been thinking quite a lot about Adrienne Rich's poem "The School Among the Ruins," which more than anything else I've seen captures the depth of what is happening to children (and adults) in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, Yemen, and so many other places.
