Obviously it would hinder attracting players, but there’s an argument that being out of Europe next season would benefit this squad. They lack the physical capability to play twice a week and this will only be solved in multiple transfer windows rather than one.

I don’t think any game vs Liverpool can be considered a “free hit”. Heavy losses in that fixture were the beginning of the end for Moyes, Ole and ETH, while a loss at Anfield was Mourinho’s last game also.

That being said, INEOS have really clusterfucked the first year of their stewardship and one wonders if they are really that much of an upgrade on the Glazers as they initially seemed 😒
