A rested mind brings clarity and wise action. Be well, friends. P.S. I get no sense of an account if all you do is repost rage bait without so much of a quote. Afraid I don't follow those back, and sometimes block.

I almost ran face first into this Yellow Garden Spider when I opened my front door this morning. The enormous web was woven over night! She's a sweet protector of gardens, but having her crawl up and down me would not be the way to start the day.

Happenstance on today's dogwalk. Twig falls and chance places it perfectly beside an impression of a leaf on the sidewalk.

This year, we celebrated summer by displaying natural artifacts that we occasionally found while gardening or dogwalking. Each time we found something, we placed it on our door wreath. It's been a slow process, starting with just one feather from a hawk that nests across the street. #NatureArt

While walking today, I saw these two oak leaves, their stems delicately connected. I wish the photo did a better job at showing the scale. They were tiny!

Gulf Fritillary butterflies recently laid eggs on my passionflower vines, and the caterpillars devoured the leaves. I was so happy to be able to feed and support them. Now I have 12 chrysalises to watch hatch soon!!

Sweet cloudscape from earlier this week. Lots of sky art like this lately. High humidity, but the clouds are a nice tradeoff. #clouds #nature #photography

To those who would love to destabilize not only our country and the world, but each of us, in our own lives. I refuse. I'm going to have the absolute best regular day today. Peace and love will remain in my heart. May we each forever be strong and never tire of being decent people. #hope #resist

Found a pretty leaf as we walked our dogs post-rain. Saw a few sidewalk leaf imprints that we pass each day. Did some side-by-sides. Chaotic world momentarily silenced. Peace.

Here in SA, you're either pro- or anti- ball moss. I'm very pro-. I'm especially nerdy about them when they start blooming. Here's one that fell in my front yard a while back. I've been waiting weeks for this tiny thing to start flowering! The blooms don't last long at all.
