Gronkats were adopted by the Mawkin when they were rescued from a Pirate raid for materials to construct the Frigate Orpheon. Their keen hearing and echolocation make these sleek subterranean hunters invaluable companion beasts for #Chozo warriors.

As the biggest beast pulling the front yoke, Chozo leaders face unrelenting physical and mental demands.
High-ranking Mawkin leaders lack beds of their own on ships. The few chances they do get to rest, they join a squad's bunk.
