I'm currently on the 9th day. The book started a little slow but picked up fast. It's getting really intense and you get revelation after revelation, and a lot of puzzle pieces are starting to fit together in a satisfying way.

You can hide malware in a lot of files. A workaround for only scanning executables would be to hide the malicious payload in a texture/model and execute it when loading it. Since they only scan executables or scripts, it won't be caught by that scan.

I noticed that I took a lot of damage if set myself on fire with the flamethrower but it barely hurt you guys so I can't imagine what it would be like playing with friendly fire turned up...

Ah, fair enough. I'm thinking we have a lot more answers to how things work now days than we had before, which would increase the amount of knowledge needed to fully understand something. For example, it was (probably) easier to be a doctor before than now. Less learning needed to practice it.
