Deepseek R1 (cloud version) answers are often incomplete or wrong while o1 is explaining it perfectly in less then 1/4th of the time. I don’t get why everybody is so excited.

The amount of data the world is sending to the cloud deepseek version running in china is probably more valuable than making the model expensive. Make it free and people question your honesty, make them pay a little and they won’t think about it.

AI’s are just like humans, it tries 10 non-existing things until you make it read the documentation and it’s like dang could’ve saved me a lot of brain cycles there.

I really enjoy building reliable tests for our infra setup. It fits so well in the whole IaC vibe. I’m using the e2e framework from Kubernetes sig for this combined with Gomega

I didn’t know ArgoCD doesn’t touch live manifest fields undefined in the desired manifest. That’s why you can add a command override if it wasn’t already defined. Thought it was explicitly ignored or something 🤷🏼♂️

So we had IRSA, IAM Roles for Service Accounts. Then they decided we need PodIdentityAssociation, which makes you think it associates the credentials to the Pod and has nothing to do with ServiceAccounts. However, it still is IAM Roles for “Pods with a certain ServiceAccount”.

Docker desktop has to be the most annoying application there currently is in dev tooling on Windows. Just kills your WSL whenever it feels like it. No warning, just poof.
