In the hospital recovering from surgery. I'm experiencing a great deal of pain. But feeling good.
Haven't been able to do my hair or make-up. I feel like a mess.
One of the nurses was kind enough to make me some sensory toys out of medial supplies. She's neurodivergent, too, helped me feel good.

Keep pushing myself a bit more each day. Walked a little over half a mile today without using a mobility device! That's the furthest I've gone in over 3 years. 😁

Doubled my distance today! At least 1000 yards without a walking aid/cane! I almost fell a couple of times. Who knew an 8lb Chihuahua could be so strong?

In less doomy-gloom news, I just got back from walking my dog without the aid of a cane. It was only a total of about 500 yards, but that's 500 more than I've completed for well over a year.
I cried in the hallway as I made my way back to my apartment. You can't see it, but my heart is smiling. 💜✨️😊
