Here's the problem. While miracle has a few definitions, the primary definition explicitly mentions divine intervention. So, most people see miracle and don't think of a metaphor, they think "God did it." Literally. That's the objection.

Teacher here. I actually asked a Black student this a number of years ago. No, it's not acceptable for a white person to use it. However, even when it's a Black person saying it, hard R is considered insulting. -a is not. Now, I'm in the Boston area where a hard R is rare in any word lol.
