Now I understand those that try to liken themselves to the majority in order to appeal… but Harold didn’t want to be human. He was proud of his Giant blood… some of its history just wasn’t all perfect, and sometimes it happens that way. The past isn’t always something to be proud of.

I think using “assimilate” is the key here. There’s nothing wrong with peace. That was the difference between Jinbei and Arlong.
Arlong was proud of his Fishman race and wanted to be separate because they were more powerful. Jinbei wanted to seek a more peaceful path.

🤔 Hmmm… I likened it more to someone wanting to no longer represent a dangerous past. Harald would know of how dangerous the giants of old were. Plus, Loki just straight up killed guards, horned or not. I can’t stand behind that being pure “pride” and even then… that’s not an excuse to murder.
