It’s a sad day, but I’m proud of the work we at @momsrising.org have done! There’s a reason Republicans negotiated this bill behind closed doors, debated it in the dark of night, and delayed some of the cuts until after midterm elections. We will continue to fight—Our children’s future depend on it.

Spent the day cooking with my son. We don’t do our own turkey because that’s way too much for just two (and the Honey Baked Ham Co turkey is way better).

My favorite is the stuffing & son’s is potato casserole (i.e. “funeral potatoes” in Utah 🤣)

Sending all the strength today to those with families whose politics are diametrically opposed. It’s not always possible or practical to stay away, but hoping you can at least find peace around the table as you gather. Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s been 18 years since my sweet son started chemotherapy as an infant. This week, I’m #Thankful to #Medicaid for helping him get here! We have a fight ahead of us to keep this lifesaving program available for those who need it, and together we will win! #SaveMedicaid
