True. I was thinking slowing by 8 NM inbound. That’s where I had to slow my A333.

Because losing energy isn’t exactly easy with modern slippery aircraft. From 180 kt down to approach speed it’s a long way, and most operators expect their pilots to be stable on speed 1000 ft above the runway.
