Have you read any actual biographies of the people you are discussing? Franklin at one time supported the monarchy, but in his latter years condemned it. Likewise, his views on slavery changed, and he was an abolitionist in his final years.
Yes, people sometimes evolve in their beliefs.

Nope. Both John and Abigail Adams opposed slavery. You can read it in their letters. Benjamin Franklin opposed slavery. He endorsed a proposal made in the first Congress to abolish slavery.
Thomas Payne hardly qualifies as a Founding Father.

You must be joking. I'm someone who has read biographies of Adams, Hamilton, Washington, and Jefferson. Jefferson was a dick. But Washington wrestled with the moral questions surrounding slavery, and Adams and Hamilton both opposed slavery.
Oversimplifying complex historical events is foolish.

The southern states originally wanted to count slaves equally with free people, which would have given them more representatives in Congress, but the northern states fought it. So that's how they reached the 3/5 Compromise. And they didn't all support slavery.

Adams never owned slaves, Hamilton belonged to an anti-slavery organization, and Washington's will stipulated that his slaves be freed upon Martha's death (and he set aside funds for the care of his freed slaves who were unable to work). Reality is a little more complicated than your claim.

Unlike Vance, I actually know a little about Douglass, and there's no evidence he was gay, and he certainly didn't need to fight slavery to find romantic partners. Vance can't conceive of anyone fighting for something just because it's the right thing to do.

So, in other words, not you.

Were they "subdeals" or "concepts of deals"?

The worst 100 day approval rating of any President for the last 20 years...also a downward slide from March's approval rating of 49%.
Keep in mind, this is a poll conducted by Fox News.
Trump was furious.

Yes, being organized doesn't by itself indicate a mental disorder or disability, but it's just the first thing that came to mind because that's how my OCD works.
April 21, 2025 at 2:29 AM
The symptoms may overlap, but I do not believe the causes are related. OCD is related to brain and neurotransmitter abnormalities-- dopamine, serotonin, etc.
April 21, 2025 at 2:22 AM
But it can be, and it definitely is for me. I have OCD, not autism.
I'm a little bit frustrated with every idiosyncrasy labeled as autism or neurodivergent.
April 20, 2025 at 10:20 PM
I think people might be confusing OCD with autism.

That assumes a default position that every species deserves to be perpetuated. A species that slaughters its own kind by the tens of thousands--even millions-- suggests a species that is self-destructive and not particularly invested in survival. We are a species that hates itself.
April 13, 2025 at 9:09 PM
If you're a brainless organism that thoughtlessly reproduces, sure. If you're a sentient organism, the question is a relevant one. What makes homo sapiens a species worthy of continued existence?
April 13, 2025 at 4:41 PM
But does humanity deserve to be perpetuated? Serious question.

Why do you keep voting with the Republicans to approve Trump's nominees?
April 10, 2025 at 4:48 PM
My understanding is the bailouts for farmers come from the USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation, and their funds were badly depleted during Trump's first term due to the trade war he started with China. So where is the $ coming from for this new round of bailouts?
April 9, 2025 at 5:06 PM
I guess you're hoping your constituents aren't paying attention. While you post on social media about how bad the Trump Administration is, you meanwhile vote to enable them. When are you going to start fighting for the people you're supposed to representing?
April 9, 2025 at 2:03 PM
They are not giving many of the people they are deporting due process. They are doing so while violating court orders.
That is fascism.
Your snide comment does not do you any credit. Being needlessly rude just makes you look immature and weak.
April 7, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Is deporting people while ignoring the Due Process Clause in the U.S. Constitution considered fascism?
Is closing our borders to people legally pursuing asylum here considered fascism?

When the Bill of Rights was ratified in 1791 it only applied to the federal government. The 14th Amendment, ratified after the Civil War, extended those rights to the States, meaning they applied to everyone: freed slaves, women, etc. The right to vote for blacks and women were added later.
