But, and here's the important part, others like your voice. Trust in them.

Not a singer, but my two cents. I feel like it's an expectation thing. You don't normally hear how your voice sounds externally, so your expectation is based on how you sound internally. So for most people, when they hear their external voice, it sounds incorrect and you automatically dislike it.
