I used my white highlight colors to create some separation. I stippled along the edge of the marks using Trooper White (Two Thin Coats), and then much more selectively using Titanium White (Pro Acryl).

Sorry for the long explanation but hope this helps!

Then I highlighted it by painting thinner and thinner lines, focusing more and more towards the center as my paints got lighter, using in order: Khorne Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet, Wild Rider Red, Fire Dragon Bright, and Flash Gitz Yellow.
