Words For My Children
Raw pain, a wound that will not heal,
A hollow ache only silence can feel.
Shards of love pierce through the chest,
A restless heart denied its rest.

To the Person I Cannot Forget

Thank you for the life you gave,
For the quiet space where I could be brave.
You tended the wounds I thought would stay,
And showed me there was another way.

This process is a roller coaster ride,
A surge of waves I cannot hide.
Today it hits me all anew,
The ache, the longing, missing you.

It’s painful, sharp as broken glass,
A storm of memories rushing past.
It’s loving you, a flame that stays,
Even through these shadowed days.

Messy Healing

Healing isn’t a straight line,
It’s a tangled web of late nights
and tired mornings,
spilled milk, spilled tears,
a child’s laughter breaking the silence,
then their cries shattering the fragile peace.
