Sun dog today. It didn't have a twin on the opposite side of the sun, so it seems to be specifically the contrail, or the combo of contrail and cirrus cloud, that produced it.

Happy Doctor's Day!

Buzzards circle over the Waco Tribune-Herald building, 10 years ago today. Two years after I took this photo I was laid off; a year or so after that, the rest of the copy desk.

In 2021, the Trib moved out, and white stucco covers red brick at what is now Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia HQ.
Birds — turkey buzzards, I think — circle over the Waco Tribune-Herald building in October 2014. After the newspaper moved its offices in 2021, this building became the headquarters for Chip and Joanna Gaines' company Magnolia.
