Here's the calculus. They don't give a fleeting fuck about this woman, they can throw this at the wall and know it will take weeks if not months to wind its way through the courts because that's how it works here, and they get credit with their base and to piss off libs. No down side.

I live in Chandler. I would not have cared about this had Sinema not attached her name. To be clear, I oppose anything she supports, as I do not trust her in any way and never will. However, the very fact that they chose her indicates they have no familiarity with local sentiment.
