Action Figures.
Sketches from the back of "Experience the Magic of the Legend!" Volume 3.
Drawings of Fili and Noli, the main characters from the small press comic "Experience the Magic of the Legend!" as toy action figures. Sketch one features Fili and Noli as 4" action figures, with Noli still in the blister pack. Coming soon to a toy store near you: "Experience the Magic of the Legend!" action figures! And by soon I mean never. Sketch two features Fili and Noli as fashion dolls, with fabric clothing and long hair, along with a cat-like character. This toy line was made to tie in with the cartoon series "The Magical Legend of Fili and Noli" (1986). The addition of cute animal companion Kitzen the Faerie Feline (TM) was widely regarded as a low point for the franchise and the character was quietly dropped after just one season. Sketch three features Fili and Noli as 6" action figures, heavily muscled and scowling. The first attempt at making an "Experience the Magic of the Legend!" toy line was in 1984 and never made it past the prototype stage. A pilot cartoon was made, but the focus group testing results were largely negative. Girls (age 6-11) thought the show was aimed at boys, while boys (age 6-11) thought it was aimed at girls. The project was scrapped after it emerged the figures were little more than minor resculpts of unused "Astrogar the Space Barbarian" characters.

I finished the RX-78-2 Gundam the other day, so here it is along with some other plamo I have dabbled with (see ALT tags for details).
The plastic may have scratches and stress marks, the panel lining may be wonky, and the paint a little uneven, but I assembled them myself, with my own hands.
A Bandai High Grade, 1/144 scale gunpla model kit, assembled with panel lining and stickers applied, of a Universal Century RX-78-2 Gundam. It has a shield on the left arm, and holds a beam rifle in the right hand. A Bandai 1/60 scale model kit, assembled and painted with panel lining and stickers applied, of the Type Zero patrol labor from the Patlabor series. At the bottom is a painted metal miniature of a female police patrol labor mecha pilot, in scale with the mecha. A Bandai 1/16 scale model kit, assembled and painted with stickers applied, of Tekkaman Blade. A Bandai 1/144 scale gunpla Action Figure Model Kit from the year 2000, assembled with panel lining and stickers applied, of a Heavyarms from Gundam Wing.

For my birthday this month I decided I could have a little plastic robot, as a treat.
I also got a superfine marker, and finished off the panel lining and stickers on the previous kit I started, a Shenlong from when "Gundam Wing" was airing on Cartoon Network (so about a 25 year gap between models).

Abby and Sara, from Christmases past.

A seasonal comic featuring Mari Lwyd, the hot new Old Christmas Tradition of 2021.
A comic strip featuring Mari Lwyd, a horse skull mounted on a pole and held by someone under a sheet. Two young women are aghast as Krampus enters through their door. "Oh no! It's Krampus!" "Again!" they cry, as the leering Krampus yells "Hooyaagh!". Suddenly Mari Lwyd bursts in, kicking Krampus away, shouting "It's Mari Lwyd time, muddy funster!". Mari Lwyd begins to rap, while one of the young women enthusiastically joins in dancing, and the other looks on bewildered. "My name is Mari Lwyd, and I'm here to say, Rapping like this is a huge cliché! Give me all your beer or I won't go away! It's like that! And that's the way it is!" A comic strip titled "Glaives", featuring a female Fighter and Wizard duo, Fili and Noli. In a crystal cave, a bearded green gnome tells Fili and Noli "To defeat H'yeen-ogra, you will need to gather three magical weapons. I give you the first of these... Behold - The Glaive of K'rool!" While Fili looks at a six-bladed star, Noli says "This... this is not a glaive. A glaive is a type of polearm. This appears to be some kind of throwing weapon." Later, in a marble temple, an Elf with long eyebrows presents them with another weapon, saying "In recognition of your valour in aiding us against the Fearful Horde, the Alliance of Battlesmiths award you with The Glaive of the Whispering Wind." Noli points out "Again, this isn't a glaive. This is a weird-looking dual-blade/shield combo." In a verdant swamp, an Elfling presents the pair with a third weapon; "As thanks for freeing us from the tyranny of the Skeklols, we give you our greatest weapon, The Twin Glaive of the Elflings." Noli loses her temper and cries "That's just two swords stuck together!" Finally, Fili and Noli stand in desert ruins with the three magic weapons. Facing them is their nemesis, an armoured gnoll wielding a polearm, who says "You may have gathered the three mystic glaives--" (Noli interrupts: "They're not glaives...") "But you have no hope of defeating me, H'yeen-ogra, Lord of the Gnolls!". Noli grabs the gnoll's polearm, excitedly saying "See, now this is a glaive! A polearm with a single-edged blade on the end of a long shaft!" However, H'yeen-ogra shows her his MMORPG stat-block, saying "But my stats say it's a halberd..."

After our previous Pathfinder party TPKed to a pair of hellhounds, my Monday night RPG group has a new set of weirdos heading into town and looking for work/trouble. Maybe they'll find out what happened to the first lot, who knows...

I'm playing Nandi the Night Bear, a feral Dog Kholo Monk.
A group of Player Characters for the Pathfinder RolePlaying Game. Mirla is a female elf, who wears a chain shirt and carries a staff with the symbol of Isis at the top. She has short hair and a pensive expression. She is normal looking and approachable, but doesn't like to be approached. Petey EssDee is a skeleton warrior, clad in a chainmail hauberk and carrying a shield. His skull face has a genial expression. He is a jolly decent chap, but is not aware that he's dead. In the foreground is Nandi the Night Bear, a quadrapedal hyena-person. She wears tightly bound wrappings around her body and limbs, and her mouth is open with her tongue lolling out. She is a missing link between a hyena and gnoll, and a Clever Girl. Doctor Nocturnus is a middle-aged man, dressed in fine black robes with a fur collar. He has a pointed beard and moustache, and a black skullcap. He is a scholar and surgeon, and not a necromancer. Sam is a female kitsune, or fox-person. She wears a quilted coat and holds a pouch on her belt. She is a firey fox, and a replacement twin.

The Wax Dragon, a creature found in "Mr Mandrake's Marvellous Manual of Monsters. A dragon made of red wax, that has dropped its ice cream on the floor. It gesticulates angrily, breathing a gout of flame from its mouth, causing itself to melt.
