It's simmered on the stove all day and then served with bacon, a dish known as Slack.
He gave us a bag, so we'll be trying it with something else (probably oatmeal) tomorrow!

He likes harvesting it from this particular place because the water is very clean and there's no sand, so he doesn't have to rinse it.
