My favourite part of creating electronic music is the sculpting. First step is to build up a big amorphous mass of sounds, then slowly chip away at it until the form is revealed. Sometimes, you might only be left with fragments of the original material. But there's always something hiding in there.

2nd Warmfield album is almost finished now. I wanted to reflect on the places in Wakefield where I used to go as a kid in the 80s. It's turned out to be a real upbeat celebration of the Merrie City. You never know what you're going to get until you tune in. 🙂

Project "get the Chisels shiz back on the streamers" continues. Album three, 2022's Viva Deluxe, is now back out there in a slightly plumper form - now includes the non-album single 'Wrong' and the unused 'Tale of Woe' (previously only released on the download only Remnants collection).

Now, back on the streamers. Dicky, Mike and I wrote about 30 songs and bits of songs between us during the first lockdown in 2020, me sending rough guitar sketches out for Mike and Dicky to embroider with their own parts.
