Nah I agree the game has flaws. Its gameplay is bare bones, its 3D models don't really match up with the art design, and it isn't that scary. But they made it on a shoestring budget as a proof of concept, and I appreciate the effort in making the writing engaging!

It’s sadly inevitable for any horror icon. Monsters like Dracula and the Wolfman used to be pretty damn scary back in the early eras of film, but within a few decades they were in the front of cereal boxes. Though with the internet this process has been getting noticeably faster
