About 100 participants took part in the training raging from judges, religious leaders, security services, medical practitioners, & leaders civil society working on the issue of GBV & agreed on a action plan for the country.9/9

Service providers on GBV were urged to review, take stock, coordinate efforts, leverage on expertise, resources, & invest in building infrastructure that could holistically & adequately address GBV & sexual harassment & sustain the efforts & mobilization for better impact and zero tolerance. 8/9

We had insightful and rich exchanges with a wide range of actors involved in addressing GBV and a renew commitment from all stakeholders.7/9

The Training Manual has been developed as a result of the regional strategy to address holistically #GBV & Sexual Harassment & fill the gaps at regional & national levels. It generates knowledge & professional guidance to better help those who are exposed to & dealing with gender-based violence

January 2021, ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State & Government adopted a 10-Year Regional Strategy for Preventing & Responding to Sexual & Gender-Based Violence & the Elimination of All Violence Against Women & Girls (2022-2032) to offer a framework for all stakeholders to address the problem.5/9
