I'm not going to amplify the fucking things, but these anti-Mamdani slop ads Cuomo is putting out there use his likeness and put words in his mouth. If it's not actionable, it should be. It's not illegal it seems, but it should be so illegal. It should be *the most* illegal.

This is why Gavin Newsom is a non-starter for me.
Sure, he's "a fighter" who's landed a few good punches on Trump, but that's not the same thing as a leader.
A real leader doesn't fight back against an authoritarian takeover by using the most vulnerable as his shield.

I keep seeing people say, oh, trans people must take a hit for the greater good and, first of all, no, you don't get to discard someone else's rights and second, we know from past experience that marginalized communities like theirs are merely the first to be targeted. They'll come for you next.

If you boycott elections, candidates logically ignore you and focus on the voters they can still get.
There’s a reason pundits keep nudging Dems to a mushy middle. Those folks are idiots, yes, but they’re idiots who show up to vote.

the democratic party’s basic problem is it has almost no control over how its message reaches the ears of voters, especially outside of presidential election years. but rather than devote serious time, attention and cash to that problem its consultants and pundits want to fight factional battles
