I live in the 7th Ward & we got some of this grant money. Thankfully the trees were planted before the funding got slashed. The neighborhood association is organizing to make sure they are maintained while they mature, and I plan to keep close watch over the magnolias that were planted on my block.

Unfortunately this sort of incompetence is standard here. NOPD has been under a federal consent decree for over a decade now with mixed results, Public Works can barely fix a pothole much less vehicle bollards, and the current mayor makes a hobby of misusing tax dollars. Mass death is the result.

I just want the damn headphone jack back in my phone. I don't care that the cords get tangled, its better than losing an airpod or getting to the gym and realizing you forgot to charge them.

I know 2016 Bernie counterfactuals are a bit trite at this point, but like goddamn. Imagine if the DNC didn't drum him out during the primary. I wish we could be in the timeline where he won 2 terms and Trump just never happened.

Dunkin Donuts has always been trash imo. I dont think Ive set foot inside one in over a decade. Their coffee is disgusting, the breakfast items are mediocre at best, and I wouldnt feed the donuts to a dog. Krispy Kreme is the superior chain donut and there are always better local joints to be found.
