My cat climbed into my car with me unaware while I unpacked shopping this afternoon.

She's been rehydrated & oxygenated & is glaring at me for saving yet another of her lives.

It has been a big day.

Got the kids off their tech for a few hours & into some salty water

Wind was high so we all got sand whipped getting in & out but the water was so clean & refreshing

I've been rewatching Haunting of Hill House because what else has has that deep sense of grief & despair with such longing for a different, more hopeful outcome

It absolutely terrifies me how expensive Central Coast property is now

I'd love to move back where I grew up but the price points are Sydney prices

Where we stayed for a few days is selling for more than our Sydney home is worth.

But I get it. I'd love to see this every day too.

My summer read is Wilkie Collins' The Woman in White

I've never read it before nor have I seen any film/TV versions so I came to it only knowing it was a gothic text

For a novel written 165 years ago, the prose is still fluid & compelling

I'm loving the twists & reveals & the multiple narrators.

Sun so bright the world is over-saturated

Very quick in&out Coast trip

Proof of life I made it to family fireworks time

Now I can go to bed & wake up in a new year 😴
