I'm illegible and belong nowhere. 6/6

People can't hold that I both am and am not a binary trans man. My body is too masculine to be nonbinary, especially since I changed it to be like it is. My gender expression is too nonbinary to be masculine. I even get misdirected transmisogyny from chuds who have only heard of trans women. 5/?

So where can I go? Nowhere. I'm either too cis male passing or too trans, too straight passing or too queer. Try explaining how something can be misgendering one day but not another to someone who is still on man = penis for their understanding of gender. 4/?

It's similar to having my queerness erased - I'm demisexual and bi, but now that I'm in a straight-appearing t4t marriage, I'm not particularly welcome in cis queer spaces.

I know I shouldn't spend time in cishet ones either since once I'm outed people invariably treat me worse. 3/?

I get stuck in the "man" box - assumed disposable, violent, unredeemable. Too much of a man to be welcome in mixed trans spaces and not enough of a man to be welcome in men's spaces. Keep in mind I'm *fluidflux* and only sometimes a man, but no, I've transed too close to the Bad Gender. 2/?

Can you add me please?

OH! For urgent or emergency care, I usually bring my spouse to "translate" my concerns into something providers can understand (autism communication differences get more pronounced under stress).

I also have to significantly change my presentation, pronouns, and go by a nickname while inpatient (I've had nurses confirm that being myself would be read as a sign of further mental instability).

Inpatient psych care has been odd - I've been told in the ER that it takes longer to find a hospital bed that would be trans friendly. Places sometimes room me by myself when everyone else is doubled up so that might be the issue? 1/2

Sexual health providers just assume what organs I and my partners have and how we have sex. I've been offered prep that doesn't work for acts i engage in and I've been recommended to get tests indicated for acts i don't engage in. They just don't ask!
