Sometimes I amuse myself by setting little “traps” for Miss Greta - because it makes me feel good when the beings around me act predictably. Today it was a paper grocery sack I set so the sun would heat it up. She took occupancy immediately. As I had predicted. At least today there’s that 💙 #cats

I am developing a free amigurumi doll blank pattern & I base prototypes on real people who I find admirable/visually striking - here is my latest inspired by Jasmine Crockett’s gorgeous images in Vogue. Walked to the dollar store and couldn’t bring myself to spend $10 on an ugly plastic wastebasket for my living room. Not when I have tons of scrap yarn, several hours, and a tolerance for this chaotic style. 🤣Crocheting three strands together is murder on my hands though. #crochet #kitschy #frugal

Sometimes Greta makes herself into a little puzzle for my mind. Aww, she’s all curled up. Wait. Is that a front foot? Which one? How is she doing that? Why?? Does it feel weird to sleep like that but she was too tired to move? Is her shoulder tight and this is cat yoga? Just showing off? #cats

Safe to say Miss Greta’s gift was a huge hit. I set it where she can watch me crochet. See, she’s riveted! Our first Christmas in our own place after living in a cold unfinished room for 2 years 😁 disabled housing finally got us in last week. Spending the day quiet, alone, and happy about it ❤️ #cats

Years ago a woman asked me to adopt her cat, named Beanie, who needed a quieter home. I accepted.

A few days later she called to see how Beanie was doing. I said, very well, except she doesn’t react to her name. Any ideas why?

I‘m in 💙 under 200 followers 💙 this is the doll I made to thank the volunteer who drove me to get my license and register and get my absentee ballot set up after I emailed the local democrat party telling them I couldn’t afford the county’s “low cost” voter rides for disabled people 💙

Miss Greta likes to insert herself into the crafting process, so I am careful not to give any of my projects to anyone with severe allergies, although I do keep the yarn and works in progress put away when I’m not using them. #cats

Awesome, I hope you post when done 😍 here’s mine, his name is Sad Frog 🤪 I didn’t do the pride flag on his belly because I happy pride belly doesn’t fit sad face 🤷‍♀️ so I made him a Sad Sack from one of those mushroom lighter holder patterns 😁 he’s my mascot 😂 I wasn’t very good at Amigurumi yet
